9 holes Yellow
The Yellow 9 is a flat, open course where the trees have been used to create a pleasant park-like atmosphere.
Large, relatively flat greens can be found on every hole. The Yellow Course has a reputation for being fairly easy, as there seems to be plenty of room, especially on the tee shots. However, thick rough and well-placed bunkers significantly increase the course’s challenge.
There’s also a chance to hit the water on nearly every hole.
9 holes White
The White 9 consists mainly of park-like holes from the old course, and three holes (4, 5, 6) wind through a rocky forest.
The older holes offer more space for tee shots and flatter greens. Rough and bunkers add to the challenge of the holes.
The newer holes feature more contoured greens, and holes 5 and 6 offer significantly less space, especially on the tee shots.
9 holes Blue
The Blue Course consists of three holes from the old course and six newer ones.
The park-like atmosphere continues on these holes as well, and the newer greens in particular offer plenty of variety.
Many consider the Blue Course to be the most challenging of Vaasa’s courses, even though, when played from the yellow tees, it is the shortest of the four.
